FLOWER ART AWARD in TOKYO MIDTOWN is an art project to change the world with flowers together with ambitious artists. We will meet new talents in the art of flowers and support their challenges to the world. It has been held since 2000, and in 2010 it was moved to a public space in Tokyo Midtown where many people gather, and has been attracting attention for producing five world champions. The main competition boasting a 23-year history, the “Machi wo Keru Award/France, Japan National Art Floral International Contest Selection Committee”, the showcase display category “Flower Art Showcase Award”, the gift flower category “Flower Gift Iron Man Award”, and the video category “Flower’s impression 2024/90 seconds”, which is openly recruited from around the world.
We are soliciting innovative ideas for art through competitions.

Japan representative selection meeting
Set in the public space of Tokyo Midtown where many people come and go, present public art using flowers, work on people's hearts in various ways, and breathe new life into the city. The Grand Prix winner will be selected as the prestigious Japanese representative of the French “Art Floral International Competition” to be held in July 2024, and will have a chance to be active on the international stage.

COMPETITION 02Flower Gift Activation Category
"Hana Giving Iron Man Award/Hana Doki! Grand Prize"
For that momentary impression of receiving flowers... A flower that conveys indescribable feelings and imprints precious moments in your heart forever. This is an art competition where you can meet flower artists who create gems of flowers that connect the giver and the recipient with great emotion. In addition to the exhibition at Tokyo Midtown, we will disseminate information from the influencer judges and conduct an online popularity vote to widely disseminate the splendor of gifting flowers. Winners will be featured in the online magazine “MOMENT OF BLLOM” with a feature article with artist videos, and the portal site “Hanadoki!” will have an artist corner and support throughout the year.

Film category
Flower Art Movie Competition
As a trial of "new flower art" that anyone can participate in, not only florists but also people of all genres can apply as a 90-second video work (edited or unedited) with the theme of flowers. You can take full-scale shots, or you can start with one scene of everyday smartphone shooting. Please create a 90-second video work using flowers as a motif, the moment when something blooms in you or around you.
Two conditions. (1) Must be within 90 seconds / (2) Have flowers and images of flowers used as a symbol/metaphor for the picture (video)/
We will collect and present 90-second video messages from around the world through everyone's "flowers". The award-winning works are scheduled to be reviewed in Paris.

Produces videos with flowers and plants as the main motifs that convey the artist's messages and emotions.
